Teradata/Oracle DBA

Location: Remote (San Francisco, CA; Arlington, VA; Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; Boston, MA; New York, NY; Houston, TX; Miami, FL; Los Angeles, CA; Seattle, WA; Dallas, TX; Minneapolis, MN; Birmingham, MI; Atlanta, GA; or Irvine, CA)

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Teradata/Oracle DBA to join their project team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience supporting enterprise-scale Teradata and Oracle environments, including Oracle Exadata and Oracle RAC .

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong hands-on Teradata DBA experience, including Teradata Vantage, utilities, workload management, and performance tuning.
Strong Oracle DBA experience, specifically with Oracle Exadata and Oracle RAC .
Advanced knowledge of SQL tuning, indexing, partitioning, statistics management, and large-scale data warehouse optimization .
Hands-on experience with database backup/recovery, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) architectures.
Experience supporting enterprise database environments with security, compliance, and operational requirements.
Strong scripting and automation skills using Shell, Python, and SQL .
Strong Linux/Unix administration experience.
Experience supporting production databases in high-volume, enterprise environments.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The client is looking for a strong, hands-on DBA with deep technical expertise rather than a general database administrator. Candidates should be comfortable working across both Teradata and Oracle platforms , troubleshooting complex production issues, tuning large-scale data warehouse environments, and supporting HA/DR and enterprise infrastructure.
